Patients at the Chapleau General Hospital and Bignucolo Residence may receive visitors at the following times:
Acute Care: 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Maximum of two visitors at any one time.
In support of providing a home-like environment, it is acknowledged that Residents may have visitors at various hours. However, visitors will be encouraged to attend between 12:00 pm and 8:00 pm to facilitate the Residents' care needs and building security.
As a health care organization, our primary focus is the health of our community and it's for this reason that smoking will no longer be permitted anywhere on SSCHS property. For many years, smoking has been banned within nine metres of any entrance; however we are following the lead of many Ontario hospitals, and will be banning smoking anywhere on SSCHS property, effective on May 1st, 2014. This includes Chapleau General Hospital, Chapleau Medical Center, Bignucolo Residence Courtyard, and areas previously designated as smoking areas. The smoking ban will also include parking lots and personal vehicles parked on SSCHS property. All patients, visitors and staff members will be required to leave the hospital property entirely, if they wish to smoke.
IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING COLD OR FLU-LIKE SYMPTOMS, PLEASE DO NOT VISIT.
YOU RISK SPREADING THE ILLNESS TO OUR PATIENTS AND RESIDENTS AND STAFF MEMBERS.
