Supported Independent Living Program
Assists adults with developmental disabilities to participate fully in the community by providing opportunities to practice coping strategies in the areas of supported independent living; life skills, stress management, communication, and problem solving through the use of activities and discussion.
Provides a setting for socialization and support, and for the development of interpersonal skills through interaction with fellow participants, staff and volunteers.
Offers emotional support to enhance self-esteem and confidence by giving the opportunity to successfully complete a task.
Access to Service: All referrals to services are received and processed through the Northern Region Developmental Services Ontario (DSO) at 1-855-376-6673.
People Served: Adults aged 18 or older who have a developmental disability as defined by the Developmental Services Act.
