Available Services

Counselling and Treatment

Provision of counselling to the seriously mentally ill, 18 years of age and over only.

Psychiatric Services

On-site services available for adults by a visiting psychiatrist once a month. Telehealth consultations available in between on-site visits. Telehealth psychiatric services also available for youths under 18 years, only through an Employee and Family Assistance Program.

Crisis Intervention

Adults (18 and over) may access crisis intervention services from Turning Point Décisif at the clinic during normal working hours. Turning Point Décisif clinical staff is also available to meet with adults in crisis at the Chapleau General Hospital during normal working hours (8:30 am to 4:30 pm). In addition, clinical staff is on-call for adult crisis intervention between the hours of 4:30 pm to midnight from Monday to Friday and noon to midnight on weekends and statutory holidays.

Children (under 18) may access crisis intervention services from Children's Community Network during normal working hours (864-0860) or from the Children's Aid Society of the Districts of Sudbury and Manitoulin 24 hours a day (864-0329).

Children and adults can access crisis intervention services at any time from a Social Worker or Registered Nurse at the Sudbury Regional Hospital Crisis Intervention Program on their toll-free line at 1-877-841-1101.

Early Intervention

Treatment and support to service recipients experiencing a first psychotic episode and their families.

Health Promotion and Education

Provision of services pertaining to promoting health which impact the health of individuals and populations towards maintaining/improving health statistics related to mental health.

Employee and Family Assistance Programs

Provision of counselling for many Employee and Family Assistance Programs. This service is available for all ages.

Homelessness Initiative

Provision of housing opportunities and support services to assist individuals with a history of serious and persistent mental illness to secure and maintain permanent, safe, affordable and high standard housing.
