Hospital Foundation Thanks Subway for Sandwich Sale Donation
Chapleau's Subway is taking the lead as one of the first donors towards the new ultrasound campaign. A special 'buy one, get one free' sale in 2015 brought in $600 that was donated to the Chapleau General Hospital Foundation.
Chapleau celebrated National Sandwich Day at Subway in November with proceeds being designated to the Chapleau Hospital. Since the campaign to replace the local ultrasound machine has just begun the donation comes at an opportune time.
Although the current ultrasound machine is in working condition the technology has become dated and is less precise than the current standard. Ultrasounds are used for imaging across the body and at any age. They are used for check-ups during pregnancy and help doctors determine due dates. Ultrasounds are also used to diagnose tumours, blood clots, aneurysms, gallstones, and many other conditions.
Subway's generosity will help us reach our goal of $100,000 and will benefit friends, family, and neighbours for years to come. For more information on the ultrasound machine call 705-864-3053 or visit us in person at 6 Broomhead Road.
