Why Help?

The quality of healthcare we are able to provide in a remote location such as Chapleau depends largely on the equipment and technology available to our hospital staff. When we have what we need close to home we reduce the need for travel, consultation, or treatment outside Chapleau.

While the provincial government funds everyday expenses at hospitals, it does not fund specialized equipment. Some of our hospital funding must come through donations from people like you. Even the smallest donation to the Chapleau General Hospital Foundation can have a positive impact on the lives of our neighbours, friends, and loved ones.

Right now, unless you specify otherwise, your donation to the Chapleau General Hospital Foundation will go toward our For the Heart, From the Heart Campaign. Through this campaign we plan to purchase essential cardiac equipment for the hospital, including a telemetry machine, an ECG machine, and a vital signs monitor. Our goal is to raise $74,000 by December 2020.
