The Chapleau General Hospital Foundation is pleased to announce two new major donors towards the Ultrasound Campaign. Chapleau Cree First Nation and Bignucolo Inc. have helped the campaign reach over 30% of its $100,000 goal.

Chapleau Cree First Nation has been a supporter of the Hospital Foundation for over a decade and has generously stepped forward with a donation of $3,000 towards the Ultrasound Campaign. The ultrasound will bring new technology to our area that can better detect and diagnose a whole range of problems such as tumours, blood clots, and gallstones.

Bignucolo Inc., which includes Valu-Mart and Village Shops, has donated $5,000 towards the campaign. Bignucolo Inc. has donated a total of $19,380.00 over the past 15 years. They also were instrumental in obtaining $12,500 in donations from George Weston Limited and Loblaws. This latest donation will go directly to improving ultrasound in our area which helps people of all ages but especially mothers excited to see a new member of the family.

"These donations from Chapleau Cree and Bignucolo Inc. have brought us to a milestone. Chapleau has now raised over 30 percent of the goal in the first two months of the campaign. This is good news for everyone in the area that wants to have access to the best diagnostic equipment available" said Gail Bignucolo, Chapleau Hospital's former CEO.
