Student Government Fundraiser Meets Local Need

The Student Government at Chapleau High School has generously donated to meet the needs of Chapleau residents living in long-term care. This dedicated group of students volunteered their time to sell light bulbs on the annual Tree of Lights. They generously chose to donate $704 of the funds raised to the local Caring Project.

The Caring Project was launched in December 2016 with the goal of improving the comfort and safety of Chapleau residents in long-term care by replacing every bed, mattress, chair, and dresser in the Bignucolo Residence. Half of the 25 long-term care rooms have now been paid for thanks to the generosity of the community.

Special thanks to teacher Mrs. Constable, everyone who supported the Tree of Lights, and the students who gave their time to improve Chapleau. For more information on the Caring Project or the Chapleau General Hospital Foundation go to Facebook.
