Seniors eating dinner in dining room

People Served: Senior citizens, age 65 and over. Those participating in the program must be able to function independently. If a client is not able to function independently, consideration will be given to allowing a family member or friend to accompany them to the meal service.

We are looking for volunteers to assist in setting up the dining room, accepting payments from participants, assisting in serving the plated meals (all cooking is done by a cook), and assisting with clean up. The whole process takes approximately 4-5 hours one day a week every two weeks.

This program depends on the assistance of volunteers in order to be delivered in our community. If you can volunteer, please contact Chapleau Health Services, at 705-864-3061 or chapleauhr@sschs.ca and complete our volunteer orientation.
