My name is Natasha Comte, and I am the Director of Corporate services here at SSCHS and this will be my 15th year with the Organization. A little bit about myself, I can be found in the great outdoors! I am always outside... camping, fishing and hunting! I love Chapleau and so fortunate I can have a great work/life balance here.

Can you describe what a typical day is like for you?

There is some structure in my day as I follow-up on emails, prioritizing of tasks and meeting reporting deadlines and requirements. The finance part of my role does have some structure as the business world cycles on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. I refer to my calendar often as receive calendar invitations to meet in person or online with Ministry representatives, internal and external hospital committees, Managers, and staff. In addition to meetings, the day also includes unexpected situations that need my attention. Every day I learn something new and grow.

What's the best part about your job/working for SSCHS?

Working for SSCHS provided me with so many learning opportunities. I continue to learn and grow each day!

What made you decide to get into this field?

Being part of a health care team allows me to be a difference maker in our community. The business planning and ensuring sustainable programs and services is very important to me. I have the same values and mission of the organization and this was the perfect match for me.

Who do you interact with the most at work?

On a daily basis, I interact with CEO, leadership team, and staff. This role also provides many opportunities to meet and know all the departments within the organization.

How do you think your co-workers would describe you?

People can count on me. I am dependable, flexible work hours, team player, work hard, and have a fun personality. I have also received comments that staff appreciate my knowledge and experiences.
