Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN)

Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN) is a newly incorporated not-for-profit organization with a mandate to support clinical, education and administrative telemedicine services for the province of Ontario.

OTN is one of the largest live two-way videoconferencing networks in the world. Health care professionals use OTN to provide access to care for patients through more than 1100 telemedicine sites located in every hospital and hundreds of other health care locations are supported by the Ontario Telemedicine Network.

This allows interactive patient consultation with different specialists from other hospitals across the province, giving the patient the opportunity to see a specialist for an initial assessment or follow-up appointment via video. The service decreases wait times, travel and expenses. Physician referral is required.
